Huggies Pull-Ups Training Pants: Fit great! Comfortable! Cute characters!

Huggies Pull-Ups Training Pants: Fit great! Comfortable! Cute characters!
Huggies Pull-Ups Training Pants with Learning Designs for Girls came in the Doc McStuffins character. I love Huggies Pull Ups for my daughter because she finds them comfortable. She also loves the characters on them and has always chosen her favorite characters since she could pick them out. This taught her independence early on and was the beginning of her dressing herself. We use these for nightime as this is the only time an accident might occur. This box fits sizes 4T-5T and also still fits if the child has switched over to size 5. Some things that I like as a mom are that they don't break her out as some pull up type items can. I like that they fit snug yet are comfortable and soft for my daughter. I also like the adjustable tabs and that the leg area moves and adjusts with the child. I also like the fact that there are characters that she can identify with on the actual Pull Up!

My 4 year old has been potty trained for almost 2 years now but still has a wet pull up when she wakes up in the morning about 25% of the time. So for that reason we still have her in a pull up at night. These work well, fit well, and have never leaked. We used to use Pampers but switched to Huggies over a year ago because they are easier to get on.

Never used Huggies before the potty-training stage so I can't speak to other Huggies products. These, however, have worked beautifully. Not a leak in sight for several months before daughter finally made the big jump to cotton underwear at night. That said, the only reason we bought these to begin with was for the licensed characters. We knew we'd have to make it really fun if we were going to convince our 3 year old that these weren't "diapers," but "big girl Pull-Ups" instead. We worked hard to differentiate the two phases even though, essentially, these are closed diapers.

My husband and I both hate Huggies Pull Ups compared to Pampers Easy Ups. Compared to Easy Ups, Pull Ups are scratchy, the "velcro" sides split open with our active daughter, and Pull Ups hold very little pee. On more than one occasion we ended up with a wet lap because our 2.5yo daughter peed through the Pull Up. Ugh. The thing though is that our daughter also hates the Pull Ups. Hates them so much she uses the potty instead of going pee or poo in her Pull Up. So I guess the Pull Ups are pretty ingenius because they really do encourage your child to use the potty. We still use the Easy Ups for long car rides and at night, but during the day we use Pull Ups, and our daughter stays dry most of the day. If your child is just starting to show interest in potty training but probably doesn't have the control to always use the potty, I'd recommend Pampers. But if your child is around 2.5yo and is likely truly ready for potty training, I'd give Pull Ups a try. They can really speed up the process of getting your child out of diapers and into underwear.

I love the larger sizes as they work well for my larger 3 year old. She is potty trained but was having night accidents when she slept. After a few months, her bladder is working again and we are pull-up free with no accidents. Id like to thank pampers for keeping the bed dry and not staining my mattress with pee when my daughter napped with me as well. Potty training with pullups can be confusing for kids as it is easier to pee in them than pull them down. But when you have a weak bladder, these held up nice and can take a lot in and keep the sheets dry.

My friend said they dont work well for night but I figured out why. She gave her toddler a full bottle before bed and thats the problem. This holds a good 4-6 oz but would probably leak for a bottle fed child.

These fit my 2 year old (26 months) so much better than anything I've tried in training pants and are easy to get on and off.
We only use them for daytime in home potty training time. Honestly they wouldn't be a good choice for naps, and at this point they'd be a bad choice for outings. We haven't reached the point where our daughter tells us before she has to potty.
My primary reason for buying these is that all other diapers are just too small for my daughter who was 36" tall at her 2yr well visit 2 months ago, and I don't know why diaper companies describe sizes by the weight of a child.
Anyhow I'm super glad these designs are some of her favorite characters, and if I could find the nighttime in her size in a decent price to try I would.

So, on the practical side, these say 38-50 lbs. My daughter is 44 lbs and these barely fit here... I'm afraid the side is just going to split open. And, the outer box was Doc McStuffins, but the diapers inside are some character called "Sophia the 1st" -- or so say my children. So, I ordered pull ups with a doctor girl of color and got a white princess! Honestly, these are not as advertised by theme or by size.

The adhesive irritates my kiddos butt and causes rashes where the adhesive part is on the back stretch panel. Our Huggies Overnites never did this but these don't work for us. Cute designs and no leak problems though but back to Up and Up brand for us for pull ups.

Love the convenience of having something like this delivered to my house. With having subscribe and save I don't risk running out. I know it sounds crazy but I had times I went to get a pull-up and we had only one left. How does that happen? I like the generous sizing of the product as well. We normally buy the store brand, but with subscribe and save it made it worth getting name brand. The store brand has been kind of tight lately but these have plenty of room.
